Karl Bartos interview
Karl Bartos, a former member of Kraftwerk, on what it was like to perform with synthesizers in the 1970s.
The machinery was so… they weren’t perfect these sequencers, they broke in the middle of the songs! And if this happened we would have to play by hand. It was very, very basic then. And very expensive!
The full interview is at Quietus.
Incidentially, Kraftwerk’s tour of Latin American with Radiohead starts tonight.
